Preparing for your first day of private lessons
We’re so excited that you’ve joined the Resonant Blooms family, and we can’t wait to get started helping you set out on your musical journey. Here’s a few tips about the studio to guide you through your first day.
What to bring:
Your instrument! Unless you are enrolled in piano lessons, you must bring your own instrument to every lesson.
Your binder (with 5 dividers) and your music books. Your teacher will let you know what books, if any, need to be purchased ahead of your lesson. If you took lessons before, bring your old books to your first lesson.
Socks. We require that all students in the studio wear socks for sanitary reasons.
Where to come:
All lessons take place in either Studio A or Studio B, both located on the lower level of 3823 2nd street NW.
Please walk your child to the door if they are under 9 years of age, and pick them up at the door after their lesson. (Or, discuss your family plan with your teacher ahead of time)
Come in the gate to the left of the house, and let yourself in through the back door. Remove shoes and come downstairs to the waiting area.
When to come:
You should double check your lesson time on the Weekly Lesson Schedule.
Bookmark the Calendar on your primary devices - then you will always know when there are days off and special events.
Who should come:
Parents are generally welcome to attend lessons, and for children 5 and under we may require it. Please check with your child’s teacher.
Parents/guardians and siblings are welcome to enjoy our waiting room for the duration of the lesson. Please be courteous of your noise level, and clean up after yourself. NO NUTS are allowed anywhere in the studio, including the waiting room.
Siblings are not able to be present in private lessons, and they may not be left unattended in the waiting room. If you plan on being in your child’s lesson, make alternate care arrangements for your other children.
Please stay home if you are sick.
